The Imagen Transcoder Farm πŸ“•

This guide will explain the Imagen server farm, and how it allows for large-scale media processing

Introduction

'Shared resource pooling' is commonly used to describe cloud computing. This term applies to almost every aspect of cloud solutions, especially in reference to the Imagen Transcoder farm. Imagen takes full advantage of the 'scale-out on demand' model of load balancing that creates new servers as demand increases and switches off servers as demand decreases

Priority & Load Balancing

If priority jobs are running when the current transcoders are busy,  the Imagen server farm will allow waiting jobs to process by creating more transcoders (Farmworkers).
