      If I search on the homepage, I get one type of search URL. But I get a different kind of URL on the "Search Results Page" 🤔

      But all filters show on the "Search Results Page" URL, even if they are not used

      Question

      If I search for the keyword (BPVC0755) on the homepage, I get this URL:

      https://www.your_imagen_domain.com/search/results#/
      ?query=BPVC0755
      &type=flex

      But when searching the same term (BPVC0755) again in the "Search Results Page" search bar, I get a longer URL:

      https://www.bpimageshop.com/search/results#/
      ?query=BPVC0755
      &page=B
      &type=flex
      &sort=Image_Date
      %20desc&filterBy=
      &spellCheck=true"

      Answer

      Homepage: Searches formed here are formed solely on what is entered into the search bar. Unless manually entering more advanced SOLR queries, this search will remain superficial.

      Search Results Page: Any queries here take advantage of the filter/sort options along the side, so search handles for filters/sorting are included automatically in the URL, even if they are not used.
